Dr. Sadhan C. Dutt, Founder-Chairman of Development Consultants – Kuljian Group of Companies, passed away on January 2, 2008 at Sree Aurobindo Sevakendra, after a brief illness.  He was 86 and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bharati Dutt and daughter, Ms. Shanta Ghosh.

Mr. Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, was among the dignitaries who visited Dr. Dutt’s residence at 506A, Keyatala Road in South Kolkata, to pay their last respects to the scientist-entrepreneur.

An engineer by training, Dr. Dutt is credited with pioneering consulting engineering services in India and helped bring technological revolution in the country.  Through transnational growth of his Group, he established the credentials of Indian engineering in various parts of the world.
